The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Press on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Press tries to get out of the position.
Acton is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Press is surviving well by controlling Acton's body position as best he can.
Press is desperately trying to improve his position but Acton has a good base and remains in mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Acton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Press is looking to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Acton moves to back control.
Acton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Acton wants to control but Press is keeping busy.

Press throws a big right hand that misses.

Press sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Acton's guard.
Acton wants to control but Press is keeping busy.
Press is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Press tries to pass to full mount but Acton defends it.

Press throws and elbow that misses. Acton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Press's guard. Nice move by Acton!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A head kick misses from Acton.
Acton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Press is in trouble now - Acton has advanced to mount!
Press is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Acton cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Press might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Acton blocks Press's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Peter Acton has got the better of the ground game so far.
Acton has hold of Press's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Press manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Press is working to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Acton looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
