Tate kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Engine No. 9. Couturier has chosen Forever Angel as his entrance music. Kurtis Couturier acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couturier moves into the clinch successfully.
Couturier lands a body shot.
Tate jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Couturier walks away with a smile on his face. Tate gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Couturier has closed the distance and engaged Tate in a clinch.
Couturier lands a shoulder strike.
Couturier lands a body shot.
A nice left hand lands by Couturier.
Couturier makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Couturier lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tate backwards.
Tate is breathing heavily.
Couturier stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Couturier is leaning against Tate and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Couturier scores with a shoulder strike.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tate is rocked!
It looks like Jackson Tate has been cut.
Couturier throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Oh Tate is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tate has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Couturier is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Couturier lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Couturier creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Tate's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Tate drops to his knees and Couturier pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
