Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Quinton Randleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Randleman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jackson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
BOOM! Randleman connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Randleman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Randleman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randleman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jackson's face.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Randleman cracks Jackson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The referee warns Jackson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Quinton Randleman!
After the fight, Quinton Randleman was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
