Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cerebrinho Da Souza!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayynard keeps the fight on the outside.
Da Souza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Da Souza moves in looking to clinch but Mayynard pushes him off.
Da Souza fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mayynard stuffs the takedown.
Da Souza decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mayynard is trying to stand up here but Da Souza is controlling him well.
Mayynard wants to control but Da Souza is keeping busy.
Mayynard gets back to full guard.
Da Souza pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mayynard is keeping the position for now.
Mayynard has momentary wrist control but Da Souza slips an elbow through the middle.
Mayynard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Da Souza's guard.
Mayynard controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mayynard slips nicely into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mayynard scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Mayynard slows the pace down in half guard.
Mayynard is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Da Souza is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
