Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corey Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DJ Bronson! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bronson tries to close the distance and clinch but Dalton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. We've been informed that Bronson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Dalton closes the distance and clinches. Dalton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Bronson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Bronson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but DJ Bronson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on DJ Bronson's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Bronson in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Dalton wants to clinch but Bronson slips to the side and Bronson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bronson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. The fight stays on the outside here - Dalton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dalton lands a slapping body shot.

Dalton tries to clinch but Bronson is having none of it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bronson! But no joy. A combination from Dalton does no damage. Dalton throws a lazy body kick and Dalton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Dalton tries to clinch up. Dalton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dalton is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bronson unleashes a big counter combination but Dalton bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. DJ Bronson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bronson slips a jab and a cross from Dalton.

This has been an exciting period of action! Bronson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Dalton gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bronson gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Dalton is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
