Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between TJ Dillashaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roldo Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roldo Hayes looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, TJ Dillashaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roldo Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillashaw shoots in but Hayes avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hayes looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Hayes gets caught napping as Dillashaw dives in and scores a takedown. Hayes manages to retain guard.

Hayes pushes Dillashaw off and scrambles back to his feet.

Dillashaw looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Dillashaw wants to pass the guard but Hayes is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dillashaw drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hayes dives on top into guard.


Hayes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hayes stands up and waves to Dillashaw to follow him.

Dillashaw drives through and clinches with Hayes against the cage.

Dillashaw breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Dillashaw wants to stand and escape but Hayes is having none of it.

Hayes forces his way into half guard.
Dillashaw keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Dillashaw is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Hayes jumps into side control!
Dillashaw is pushing Hayes's head away, looking to escape. Hayes manages to hold on to the position though.

A close round but Roldo Hayes will probably get the nod.

Dillashaw shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hayes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dillashaw is standing up over Hayes. Hayes looks to escape but Dillashaw dives into side control.


Dillashaw wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hayes, who protects the arm well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dillashaw connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hayes some visible discomfort.

You can see the frustration on Hayes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Dillashaw is chipping away with strikes.
Hayes is breathing heavily.

Dillashaw looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

TJ Dillashaw overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hayes can't do much from the bottom here.
Dillashaw tries to move to mount but Hayes blocks the move with his legs.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dillashaw throws a head kick but Hayes moves out of range.
Dillashaw looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dillashaw looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hayes!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hayes is trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

TJ Dillashaw dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Dillashaw shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dillashaw is looking to clinch.

Dillashaw bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hayes being controlled for a moment.
Hayes felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Hayes stops Dillashaw from passing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dillashaw has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Hayes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dillashaw tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hayes defends well and Dillashaw ends up having to push Hayes into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Dillashaw clinches with his opponent.

Hayes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hayes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Dillashaw shoots in and bounces Hayes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dillashaw stays in close to Hayes's body and controls the position.

Dillashaw working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hayes's head.
Dillashaw is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hayes can do to turn this around?
Dillashaw won't allow Hayes to sweep him here.
Dillashaw is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Hayes slaps away a takedown attempt from Dillashaw, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for TJ Dillashaw. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hayes wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dillashaw is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Dillashaw shoots in for a double leg but Hayes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hayes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
TJ Dillashaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dillashaw clinches up with Hayes and pushes him back against the cage.
Hayes fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Dillashaw pulls guard successfully.
Dillashaw on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dillashaw tries to get out of the position.
Hayes trying to control but Dillashaw is working from the bottom.
Dillashaw thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

TJ Dillashaw showed his dominance in that final round.

After the fight, TJ Dillashaw was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
