Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pete Blamm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Duvel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Pete Blamm has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Pete Blamm seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Blamm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Duvel! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duvel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Blamm looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Duvel trying to control but Blamm is working from the bottom. Duvel controlling from the top position. Duvel trying to control but Blamm is working from the bottom. Duvel wants to get up but he can't break Blamm's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duvel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blamm swivels though and keeps the full guard. Duvel slips nicely into half guard. Blamm tries to get to full guard but Duvel has control of the leg. Duvel stands up and beckons Blamm to join him on the feet. Blamm keeps the fight on the outside. Duvel lands with a nice body punch. Duvel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blamm tries to avoid it but Duvel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blamm to the ground. Blamm escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice body kick there by Duvel. Some wild striking there from Duvel.
Duvel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Duvel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blamm's guard. Blamm moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Duvel wants to control from the top but Blamm keeps moving. Blamm might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Duvel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Blamm dives on top into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duvel uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Blamm is looking to clinch. Duvel lands a head kick!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Duvel misses with a takedown attempt - Blamm sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Blamm throws a body kick the misses and Duvel counters with a nice double leg into guard. Blamm is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blamm working for a triangle but Duvel defends it easily.
Duvel wants to control from the top but Blamm keeps moving. Blamm is trying to keep Duvel in close.

Jim Duvel dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Duvel pushes Blamm away with a front kick. Blamm throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Blamm fails with an attempt to clinch.

Duvel connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Blamm's hands. Duvel closes the distance and clinches up with Blamm, looking for a takedown. Duvel pushes Blamm against the cage but Blamm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Duvel wants to clinch up but Blamm keeps it at a distance. Duvel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blamm pinned against the cage. Blamm gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duvel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Duvel wants to control from the top but Blamm keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duvel is pushing down on Blamm's leg trying to pass to half guard. Blamm is fighting to maintain full guard but Duvel has managed to sneak the leg through. Blamm is positioning himself well to prevent Duvel advancing to mount. Duvel stalling. Blamm regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Duvel. Duvel slips nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blamm has hold of Duvel's hands but Duvel slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blamm regains full guard. Nicely done. Blamm looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duvel is one step ahead there. Duvel missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Blamm trying to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duvel decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Blamm, up you get! Duvel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pete Blamm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Duvel. Duvel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blamm pinned against the cage. Blamm gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Blamm closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Duvel to the mat! Duvel manages to get full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duvel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Blamm drops back looking for a leg! Duvel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Duvel manages to kick Blamm off! Blamm jumps back into Duvel's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duvel keeping moving, preventing Blamm from controlling successfully. Duvel had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blamm is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Duvel Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blamm's back instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jim Duvel will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Duvel swats away the attempt to clinch by Blamm. Duvel scores with a one two! Blamm had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Duvel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Duvel gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Blamm counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Blamm. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Blamm fails to pull guard.
Blamm is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Duvel has Blamm pushed against the cage. Duvel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Blamm walks away with a smile on his face. Duvel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blamm takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Duvel misses with an attempted mid kick.
Duvel tries to clinch but Blamm moves out of range. Blamm closes the distance and clinches. Blamm manages to pull guard.

Blamm feints and then cracks Duvel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Duvel down. Blamm shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duvel pinned against the cage. Duvel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blamm swats away the attempt to clinch by Duvel. Duvel drives through with a takedown into guard. Blamm keeping moving, preventing Duvel from controlling successfully. Duvel postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Duvel tries to stand but Blamm is controlling from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blamm has his foot on Duvel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Duvel works his way back into a safe position though. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blamm is on top in guard.

Blamm is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Duvel manages to get to full guard. Duvel can't keep his opponent in guard - Blamm advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Duvel tries to kick Blamm off but Blamm keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Duvel trying to control from the bottom.
Blamm is figuring out what he wants to do next. Blamm trying to control the action but Duvel is working from the bottom. Duvel is trying to stand up here but Blamm is controlling him well.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pete Blamm. I think Duvel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
