Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samwell Tarly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kantemir Khashukaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kantemir Khashukaev will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samwell Tarly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kantemir Khashukaev! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khashukaev comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Khashukaev scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Khashukaev swings widly with a right hand
and Tarly counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Tarly misses with a body shot
and Khashukaev counters with a stiff right hand. Khashukaev tests Tarly's chin there with a solid looking shot. Khashukaev lands a lovely overhand right.
Tarly is rocked! Tarly lands a jab to Khashukaev's midsection. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Khashukaev throws a jab but it's blocked by Tarly. Khashukaev lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tarly misses with a straight right. Tarly misses with a straight left. A slow jab from Tarly misses its intended target. Khashukaev uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tarly has time to react.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khashukaev slips a jab from Tarly. Khashukaev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily enabling Tarly to counter with a crisp jab. Khashukaev keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Khashukaev bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tarly's head backwards. Khashukaev lands a two punch combo.
Oh Tarly is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Khashukaev with a lazy takedown attempt and Tarly counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Khashukaev tries for a takedown but Tarly manages to get underhooks.
Tarly seems to have got his legs back now. Samwell Tarly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kantemir Khashukaev. Tarly is defending well against a takedown attempt. Tarly scores with a shot to the side of Khashukaev's head. Khashukaev has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tarly after a bit of a struggle. Tarly lands a body punch in the clinch. Tarly misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Khashukaev wants to take the fight to the mat but Tarly manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tarly lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tarly tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Khashukaev's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Khashukaev pulls guard effortlessly. Khashukaev is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Tarly would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Khashukaev wants to sweep but no luck. Tarly looking to pass the guard. Khashukaev keeping moving, preventing Tarly from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tarly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khashukaev swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Khashukaev lands a jab-cross combination. Khashukaev has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Khashukaev fails with a takedown attempt. Tarly misses with a straight left. Kantemir Khashukaev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tarly looks to score with a jab to the body but Khashukaev is just out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khashukaev fails with a takedown attempt. Tarly seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. A looping hook to the body misses from Tarly. Khashukaev does a little dance to reset his feet. Khashukaev swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nice cross by Khashukaev. Khashukaev tests Tarly's chin there with a solid looking shot. Khashukaev with a lazy takedown attempt and Tarly counters with a nice uppercut. Khashukaev might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Tarly uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Khashukaev. Khashukaev's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tarly under the eye. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Khashukaev fails with a takedown attempt. Tarly is looking to counter punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kantemir Khashukaev dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Khashukaev rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tarly counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Khashukaev scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. A telegraphed right hand from Tarly misses the target. Khashukaev thuds his right hand into Tarly's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Kantemir Khashukaev seems to be getting the better of the standup. Tarly throws a hook but Khashukaev avoids it easily. A jab from Khashukaev misses. Tarly seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Khashukaev cracks Tarly with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Khashukaev smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khashukaev sizes up Tarly with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Khashukaev circles away from the clinch attempt.
Khashukaev looks like he wants to counter punch here. Tarly jabs Khashukaev to the body, keeping him at a distance. Khashukaev paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Khashukaev has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Khashukaev was well out of range. Poor timing from Tarly. Samwell Tarly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Khashukaev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tarly on his heels. He'll look to pass Tarly's guard now, I'm sure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tarly throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Khashukaev makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Khashukaev cracks Tarly with a solid left hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tarly is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Tarly wants to stand but Khashukaev is controlling the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khashukaev makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Khashukaev controls from within his opponent's guard. Khashukaev connects with a couple of short punches. Tarly wants to stand but Khashukaev is controlling the position. Khashukaev lands a couple of digs. Tarly is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Khashukaev controlling from the top position.

Tarly is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Khashukaev dives into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Khashukaev scores with punches from side control. Khashukaev grinds an elbow into Tarly's temple. Tarly is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Tarly is looking for a sweep. Khashukaev controlling the position. Tarly wants to get back to his feet but Khashukaev is dominant here and he's now got Tarly's back! Khashukaev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Khashukaev landing with strikes. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Kantemir Khashukaev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Khashukaev swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tarly. Khashukaev fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Khashukaev shoots in but no luck this time. Tarly misses with a hook to the body
enabling Khashukaev to counter with a crisp jab. Some bone on bone action there as Tarly checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Khashukaev circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tarly throws out a loose jab but Khashukaev uses good head movement to avoid it. Excellent takedown into side control there by Khashukaev. Khashukaev has hold of Tarly's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Tarly seems comfortable defending it but Khashukaev has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Tarly is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Tarly is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Khashukaev couldn't care less - he's delighted!
