Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marty Mcfly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krishna Pariyar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marty Mcfly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Krishna Pariyar! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcfly manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pariyar on his heels. He'll look to pass Pariyar's guard now, I'm sure. Pariyar looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mcfly trying to control the position from guard on top but Pariyar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mcfly sitting in guard here, content to control. Pariyar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcfly can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pariyar keeping moving, preventing Mcfly from controlling successfully. Mcfly's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pariyar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcfly is aware though and is defending well. Mcfly sitting in guard here, content to control. Pariyar looking for a guillotine here but Mcfly defends easily.
Mcfly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mcfly wants to control from the top but Pariyar keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pariyar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mcfly is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We've been hearing good reports from Mcfly's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Mcfly trying to control the position from guard on top but Pariyar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mcfly not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Pariyar preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pariyar keeping moving, preventing Mcfly from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. No joy there for Pariyar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pariyar has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Krishna Pariyar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mcfly shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pariyar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mcfly pulls his head out easily. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mcfly lands with a punch from half guard. Mcfly trying to control the action but Pariyar is working from the bottom. Mcfly moves nicely into side control. Pariyar is trying to control Mcfly's posture but Mcfly avoids it. Mcfly in side control, just content to control the action for now. Mcfly advances nicely into full mount.

I really don't envy Pariyar right now.

Mcfly is not going to allow Pariyar to sit and survive in this position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pariyar is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Pariyar loads up on a big right hand but Mcfly slips the punch. Mcfly appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Pariyar gets caught flat footed, as Mcfly shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Mcfly trying to control the position from guard on top but Pariyar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pariyar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcfly is aware though and is defending well. Mcfly trying to control but Pariyar is working from the bottom. Mcfly is really struggling to control Pariyar but he's trying to hold on to the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pariyar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pariyar looks to land a right hand but Mcfly moved out of range. Pariyar misses with an uppercut. Mcfly saw that one coming. Mcfly appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Mcfly shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mcfly was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mcfly is looking to take a break and control but Pariyar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pariyar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mcfly wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mcfly wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pariyar keeps working. Pariyar stops Mcfly from passing to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pariyar dodges the ground and pound from Mcfly. Mcfly working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pariyar seems a little lost for a moment, as Mcfly dominates the positioning. Mcfly is looking to take a break and control but Pariyar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pariyar is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pariyar is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mcfly pulls his head out easily. Mcfly with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Mcfly wants to take a breather but Pariyar is having none of it. Mcfly trying to pass the guard but Pariyar defending well. Mcfly controlling the action here. Mcfly moves into full mount! Pariyar won't be happy about that! Mcfly trying to control but Pariyar is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pariyar tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mcfly trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pariyar has given up his back here. Will Mcfly look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Mcfly controls the position. Mcfly looking for the choke but no joy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mcfly is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Mcfly drives through with a takedown into guard. Mcfly's corner is telling him to maintain position. Pariyar keeping moving, preventing Mcfly from controlling successfully. Pariyar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mcfly is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pariyar can do to turn this around? Pariyar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcfly is aware though and is defending well. Marty Mcfly overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcfly content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Pariyar has locked up a guillotine! Pariyar's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Mcfly is holding on here and Pariyar must be using up a lot of energy. Mcfly has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Pariyar gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
