Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Silvennoinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruarc Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ruarc Harris was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seppo Silvennoinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ruarc Harris! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris drives through and clinches with Silvennoinen against the cage.
Silvennoinen lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Harris moves into full guard.
Harris keeping moving, preventing Silvennoinen from controlling successfully. Silvennoinen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard. Silvennoinen has gone for a leg lock! Harris slips out almost immediately though and dives into Silvennoinen's guard. Silvennoinen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Harris is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harris wants to control from the top but Silvennoinen keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris stops Silvennoinen from standing up. Silvennoinen uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Harris doesn't manage to clinch there - Silvennoinen circles away.
Silvennoinen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Harris napping and manages to drive through into side control! Harris bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Silvennoinen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Harris works his way to full guard. Good work. Silvennoinen trying to control but Harris is working from the bottom. Silvennoinen advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silvennoinen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harris keeps working. The fighters are battling for position here. Harris manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Silvennoinen trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Harris had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silvennoinen defends it easily. Harris being controlled here, momentarily. Silvennoinen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silvennoinen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris seems keen to control Silvennoinen's posture. Silvennoinen's corner is telling him to maintain position. Silvennoinen trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Harris is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Harris wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silvennoinen keeps working. Harris stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Harris trying to mount his opponent but Silvennoinen defends it. Silvennoinen is trying to stand.
Harris is looking to advance position but Silvennoinen won't allow it. Harris seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Harris slows the pace down in half guard. Harris thows a huge punch but Silvennoinen dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ruarc Harris dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Silvennoinen shoots in and gets a takedown into Harris's guard. Silvennoinen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Harris is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silvennoinen, into his guard. Harris wants to get up but he can't break Silvennoinen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Harris controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Silvennoinen keeping moving, preventing Harris from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silvennoinen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Harris controls the pace. Silvennoinen scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silvennoinen gets the takedown into side control. Silvennoinen tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Silvennoinen trying to control the position but Harris is working away. Harris is looking for a sweep. Silvennoinen tries to advance to mount but Harris denies him. Silvennoinen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Harris knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. A control attempt from Harris but he's now mounted!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silvennoinen looking to control but Harris is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Silvennoinen working for a submission but Harris is keeping him at bay. Harris is looking to improve his position but Silvennoinen isn't that keen on the idea. Harris gets back to half guard. Silvennoinen is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Harris as he works his way to full guard.
Harris has his foot on Silvennoinen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silvennoinen works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silvennoinen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silvennoinen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Silvennoinen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Harris is keeping the position for now. Silvennoinen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Harris is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Harris has escaped and now he's on top! Harris trying to control but Silvennoinen is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Harris stands up from Silvennoinen's guard - Harris perhaps looking for a knockout. Silvennoinen cracks Harris with a good jab. Harris closes the distance and clinches. Silvennoinen gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Harris regains guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Seppo Silvennoinen will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Silvennoinen swats away the attempt to clinch by Harris. Silvennoinen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Harris throws Silvennoinen to one side and escapes! No luck with that takedown attempt from Harris. Harris tries to clinch but Silvennoinen moves out of range. Harris is looking to clinch. Silvennoinen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Harris enables Silvennoinen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harris manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ruarc Harris has got the better of the ground game so far. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silvennoinen passes into half guard. Silvennoinen is trying to work for a kimura but Harris is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silvennoinen is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Silvennoinen trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Harris manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Harris throws a big elbow that misses. Harris has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silvennoinen is proving hard to escape from. Silvennoinen is looking to stand up but Harris isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Silvennoinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Harris works over Silvennoinen with some ground and pound from guard. Harris trying to control but Silvennoinen is working from the bottom. Harris is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris trying to control but Silvennoinen is working from the bottom. Harris with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Silvennoinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Harris tries to free his leg and advance position but Silvennoinen is retaining full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Silvennoinen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Harris manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Silvennoinen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silvennoinen trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silvennoinen preventing the sweep. Harris had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silvennoinen defends it easily. Silvennoinen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Harris dives on top into guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Ruarc Harris comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Harris has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
