Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lewis Harrington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hiro Sakurai!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Lewis Harrington has been cut.
Sakurai tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harrington swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harrington shoots in for a double leg but Sakurai sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sakurai steps into range and cracks Harrington with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Harrington flops backwards and Sakurai dives into his guard looking to finish!


Harrington is rocked!

Sakurai postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Harrington is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sakurai, into his guard.
Oh Harrington is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Harrington has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sakurai manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Harrington manages to get himself to full guard.
Harrington seems to have got his legs back now.
Sakurai wants to control from the top but Harrington keeps moving.

Sakurai trying to control the action but Harrington is working from the bottom.
Harrington trying to hold on to Sakurai's head to control him but Sakurai postures up.

Harrington is defending against the submission attempts here by Sakurai.
Harrington tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Harrington is looking to improve his position.
Harrington looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sakurai trying to pass the guard but Harrington defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sakurai is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sakurai keeps the fight on the outside.
Harrington shoots in but no luck this time.
Sakurai lands a really nice looking cross but Harrington seems unphased.
Harrington is breathing heavily.
Sakurai drops his shoulder and cracks Harrington with a huge uppercut! Harrington goes down! Can Sakurai finish him?
Sakurai slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Sakurai tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Sakurai is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Harrington knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harrington is trying to control Sakurai's posture but Sakurai avoids it.

Sakurai tries for a kimura but Harrington is defending well.

Sakurai thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Harrington tries to buck Sakurai off but Sakurai is having none of it.

Sakurai is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Harrington looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sakurai gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Harrington is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sakurai lets go of the hold and Harrington can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hiro Sakurai!
