And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcos Machado!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards clobbers Machado with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Richards lands a head shot.
It looks like Marcos Machado has been cut.
Richards uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Richards connects with a body shot.
Richards drops Machado with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Machado looks back up at him and smiles so Richards waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Machado is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Richards lands a brutal uppercut that launches Machado off his feet! Machado tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andre Richards!
After the fight, Andre Richards was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
