Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bo Hood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Bo Hood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Don Nelson! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No luck for Nelson with that takedown attempt. Hood throwing a counter right hand but Nelson manages to avoid it. Hood dodges the punch combination from Nelson.
Nelson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hood is looking to counter punch. Hood dives in and grabs Nelson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes down on Hood's head and hops out. As Hood backs off Nelson throws a huge counter combo but Hood manages to avoid it all. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hood. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nelson misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hood circles away. Hood shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bo Hood. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nelson throws a right and a left that both miss. Hood could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hood clinches up with Nelson and pushes him back against the cage. Hood jumps guard but Nelson stands there with Hood around his waist. Hood gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nelson tries to circle away but Hood has him pinned against the cage. Nelson wants to break free but Hood has control.
Nelson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hood shoots in and drives through. Nelson sprawls well. Nelson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Nelson dives in for a single leg takedown but Hood sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Hood gets a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson manages to break the clinch.
Hood getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Hood rushes Nelson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hood pulls guard effortlessly. Hood looking to control.
Nelson lands a couple of elbows. Hood looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hood is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hood keeping moving, preventing Nelson from controlling successfully. Nelson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Nelson wants to control from the top but Hood keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hood is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nelson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nelson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Hood tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nelson throws a counter combo. Bo Hood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hood misses with a takedown attempt - Nelson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nelson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Nelson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hood moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hood fails with the takedown and Nelson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The fight stays on the outside here - Hood looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hood looks for a takedown but Nelson sprawls well. Hood tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Nelson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hood is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Nelson.
It looks like Bo Hood has been cut. Nelson throws a right and a left that Hood avoids nicely. Nelson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A jab lands there for Nelson. Hood throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nelson's waist but Nelson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hood off to one side. Nelson unleashes a big counter combination but Hood bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Nelson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nelson. Hood fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nelson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hood wants to get back to full guard but Nelson has passed into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson is looking to take a break and control but Hood is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nelson is working Hood over with some ground and pound from side control. Nelson in side control, just content to control the action for now. Nelson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hood fails in his attempt to clinch. Nelson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hood circles away quickly and effectively. Nelson lands with a nice body punch. Hood tries to clinch but Nelson moves out of range. Nelson throws a right and a left that Hood avoids nicely. Nelson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hood shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nelson sprawls well. Nelson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hood gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bo Hood. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nelson throws a counter combo. Hood tries to clinch but Nelson is having none of it. Hood leaves Nelson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nelson misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hood fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nelson, pushing him back against the cage. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Nelson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Nelson is trying to force a seperation but Hood has the dominant position. Nelson is trying to break the clinch but Hood is controlling him. Nelson wants to break free but Hood has control.
Hood jumps into guard, dragging Nelson to the mat.
Nelson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Hood is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Nelson trying to control the position from guard on top but Hood is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Nelson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Bo Hood's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Nelson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hood if he has to take too many more of those.

Bo Hood is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight stays on the outside here - Hood looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nelson throws a combination. Hood tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Hood doesn't manage to clinch there - Nelson circles away.

Hood misses with a takedown attempt and Nelson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Hood shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nelson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Nelson wants to get back to his feet but Hood is dominant here and he's now got Nelson's back! This has been an exciting period of action! Nelson trying to control but not successfully. Nelson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nelson is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Bo Hood has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Don Nelson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Nelson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Don Nelson. I've got Nelson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
