Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leonidas Sparta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson has chosen The Boys Are Back by Dropkick Murphys as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Darius Henderson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a body shot but no joy.
Sparta uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Thompson.
Thompson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sparta is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Thompson can't fight it off and eventually Sparta manages to take the fight to the floor. Thompson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Thompson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sparta seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Thompson for as long as he can get away with.

Sparta cracks Thompson with a left hook right on the temple and Thompson goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Sparta lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Thompson is OK!
