Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between TJ Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Etim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez's entrance music is National Anthem. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Etim is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Etim is looking for a kimura but Sanchez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Etim to get the leverage.

That was a close round but I would say that TJ Sanchez will probably get the nod.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sanchez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sanchez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

You get the feeling that Etim really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Etim is bucking up trying to escape but Sanchez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The referee warns Etim that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
