Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hal Middleton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oluf Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oluf Hansen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Middleton closes the distance and clinches.
Hansen is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Middleton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hansen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Hansen unleashes a big counter combination but Middleton bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

and Hansen counters with a three punch combo that has Middleton backing up. Middleton nods at Hansen to acknowledge the strikes.

As Middleton backs off Hansen throws a huge counter combo but Middleton manages to avoid it all.

Middleton throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hansen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Middleton is in Hansen's guard.

Middleton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Hansen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Middleton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hansen.

Hansen tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Middleton easily slips into full mount!
Middleton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hansen's face.

Hansen is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

Hansen tries to reverse the position but Middleton maintains control.

Middleton is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hansen is surviving well by controlling Middleton's body position as best he can.
Hansen is desperately trying to improve his position but Middleton has a good base and remains in mount.
Hansen is bucking up trying to escape but Middleton cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Middleton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hansen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Hansen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hansen might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Middleton haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hal Middleton.
I think Middleton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
