Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mario Jones!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clements ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Clements gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Clements blocking some punches.
Jones tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Clements's elbow.
Clements scores with a shot to the side of Jones's head.
Jones throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Jones.
Jones prevents the takedown attempt.
Clements wants a takedown.
Jones doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
The referee calls for Clements to work.
Jones's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Clements goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamaal Clements. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Clements closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Clements.
Jones lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Clements backwards.
Clements drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.
Clements closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.
Clements lands a jab to the head.
Clements connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Clements swings widly with a right hand
and Jones counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Clements has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jamaal Clements seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Good exchange - Clements coming out on top.
Jones closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Clements out cold! Clements corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

After the fight, Mario Jones was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
