Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rico Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Yepes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rico Norris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rafael Yepes! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yepes drives through with a takedown into guard. Yepes trying to control the position from guard on top but Norris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Norris keeping full guard, as Yepes tries to pass. Norris is controlling Yepes's posture. Norris has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Yepes is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. We've been informed that Yepes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Yepes pulls guard successfully.
Norris with a nice head shot there. Yepes wants to control the position but Norris says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Yepes tries to roll over but Norris keeps him under control. Yepes pushes Norris off but Norris dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norris stands up and we're back to a striking position. Good leg kick by Norris there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Yepes throws a half hearted mid kick. Norris thinks about countering with a head kick. Norris gets the takedown into side control. Yepes tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Yepes is in all sorts of trouble here.
Norris postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Yepes looks a forlorn figure.
Norris could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Yepes really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Norris lands with some strikes. Norris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yepes is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Norris has hold of Yepes's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Yepes manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Norris landing punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yepes keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

BOOM! Norris connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Norris lands a nice shot to the head. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Norris cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Norris lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Yepes hang on? Norris connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The referee warns Yepes that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Norris takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Norris scores with punches and elbows. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Norris looking for the RNC. Yepes is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Yepes covering up well and avoiding damage. Yepes can't escape the position.

Rico Norris dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Norris gets tackled into the cage by Yepes. Yepes maintains the clinch. Yepes jumps guard and drags Norris to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Norris loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Yepes wants to improve his position but instead Norris has moved into half guard.
Yepes is trying to escape back to his feet but Norris uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Yepes parries the strikes from Norris easily there. Norris is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Yepes to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norris landing strikes. Yepes is looking to regain half guard here but Norris keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norris gets to mount! Yepes was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Yepes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Norris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Norris looking to finish Yepes with some ground and pound. This is bad for Yepes! Norris is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Yepes can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Norris fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Norris wants to finish this one by submission but Yepes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Norris. Norris lands a big shot there that rocks Yepes but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Rico Norris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Yepes wants to control but Norris is having none of it. Yepes keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Yepes knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Yepes for a finish. Norris has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Yepes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rico Norris dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Yepes tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Norris has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Norris has control of Yepes's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Yepes regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rafael Yepes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Norris shoots in for a double leg but Yepes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Yepes wants to counter the offense by Norris and move into the clinch position. Yepes throws a combination that misses and Norris counters with a nice leg kick. Yepes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Norris tries to keep at a distance but Yepes has taken the fight into the clinch. Yepes has hold of one of Norris's legs. Norris is fighting the takedown attempt but Yepes gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Norris manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yepes wants the takedown. Norris is fighting it off but Yepes persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Norris's guard against the cage. Norris is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Norris manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Norris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that's the end of the fight! Rico Norris showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Norris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
