Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ramsy Ricochet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan David! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ricochet shoots for a double leg takedown but David sprawls well. He's pushed Ricochet's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ricochet misses with a head kick.
David fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ricochet looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. David scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ricochet doesn't seem bothered though. David's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ricochet under the eye. Ricochet is breathing heavily. David ducks down and throws a hook to the body. David lands an overhand right. Ricochet shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. David defends it nicely. David bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Ricochet! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Ramsy Ricochet has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! David missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. David postures up in Ricochet's guard and throws a big left but Ricochet blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. David throwing strikes from guard but Ricochet blocks nicely. David throws a big elbow that misses. David lands a couple of elbows. David controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. David loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. David is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. David's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. David really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ricochet. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ricochet takes one to the side of the head.
David digs a good hook to Ricochet's body.
David lands with a nice body punch. David lands a really nice looking cross but Ricochet seems unphased.
David waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Ricochet. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Ricochet to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Ricochet is rocked! Ricochet being controlled here, momentarily. Oh Ricochet is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! David throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ricochet works some decent striking defense from the bottom. David showing good wrestling skills to control the position. David postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ricochet seems to have got his legs back now. David is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ricochet looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
That's three minutes gone in the round. David throws a big right hand that misses. Ricochet utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. David pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ricochet is keeping the position for now. Ricochet escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. David gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. David content to stall in guard here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. David slips a jab and a cross from Ricochet.
David cracks Ricochet with a right hand to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ricochet takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
David fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A jab from David does it's job there. David lands a really nice looking cross but Ricochet seems unphased.

Nice shot lands for David. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ricochet takes a shot to the body in his stride.
David connects with a jab. David walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ricochet drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! David swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ricochet's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Juan David! Juan David tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
