Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tom Gentry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rekap East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Gentry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rekap East! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! East throws a leg kick but Gentry checks it. Gentry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gentry tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but East paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gentry clinches with his opponent.
Gentry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
East should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. East shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gentry napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gentry managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by East.
East thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gentry is looking to work his way out of this bad position but East is controlling him well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. East advances nicely into full mount. East controlling the position easily from mount. East misses with a head shot. East goes for an armbar but Gentry turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Gentry. East working for submissions but it's allowed Gentry to get to half guard.
Gentry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. East controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Gentry is trying to work for a kimura but East is defending well.
East is trying to control but can't.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. East is defending against the submission attempts here by Gentry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. East wants to get back to full guard but Gentry has mounted him! Gentry avoids the attempt from East to control. East is desperately trying to improve his position but Gentry has a good base and remains in mount. Gentry swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and East is now in Gentry's guard. A big mistake from Gentry there, giving up the dominant position!
That's four minutes gone in the round. East avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
East with a flurry of punches that miss. East showing good wrestling skills to control the position. East decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tom Gentry will probably get the nod. That's time! Gentry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
East clinches up against the cage. Gentry is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables East to keep the fight standing. Gentry tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. East smiles and moves away.
East shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. East showed some decent athleticism there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gentry keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

East's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. East is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gentry defends it well. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. East looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. East dives in and scores a takedown into Gentry's guard. Gentry manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Gentry tries to pull guard but East holds him up against the cage and eventually Gentry drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Gentry. That's going to take a lot out of him. East utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Gentry drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

East gets control of Gentry's arms and successfully pulls guard. East will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. East has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Gentry is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. East lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Gentry manages to escape and get back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. East closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gentry takes a knee to the side of the body. East is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. East scores with a shot to the side of Gentry's head. East breaks from the clinch.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - East has eaten all the pies! East wants to control but Gentry is keeping him busy. Gentry is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rekap East showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gentry enables East to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gentry manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. East stands and steps away. Gentry gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. East shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gentry's guard.
Gentry is rocked! East takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gentry looking for submissions from the bottom but instead East passes into side control.
Oh Gentry is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! East decides to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. East is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Gentry is in big trouble! East is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Gentry. Poor guy.
