The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gracie looks to score with a jab to the body but Boone is just out of range.
Boone takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gracie takes a swing at Boone's ribcage but misses.
Gracie scores with a hook to the body. Boone takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Boone lands a two punch combo.
Boone connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Gracie fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Boone checks it well.
Gracie dives in and grabs Boone's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boone pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Wayne Gracie.
