And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kenshin Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto swats away the attempt to clinch by Pozar.

Yamamoto has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pozar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pozar will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Yamamoto up against the cage.
Pozar is trying to maintain a safe position but Yamamoto gets an underhook and turns Pozar into the cage.

Yamamoto avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Yamamoto looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pozar attempts a counter takedown but Yamamoto avoids it well and moves away.

Yamamoto drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pozar pulls his leg out and moves away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pozar enables Yamamoto to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pozar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Yamamoto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pozar's waist but Pozar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yamamoto off to one side.
Pozar tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Yamamoto manages to circle out of the way.

Pozar manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Yamamoto keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Yamamoto is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pozar pulls him back up using the underhooks.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pozar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
