Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nam Ho !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buck Brown!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ho keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Brown shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ho defends it nicely.
Ho lands a jab to the nose.
Brown doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ho counters with a nice uppercut.
Nam Ho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buck Brown.
Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Ho , looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Ho against the cage but Ho circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice shot by Ho .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown drops his hands momentarily and Ho takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Brown walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Brown has his takedown stuffed
and Ho counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ho stuns Brown with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ho has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Westside Martial Arts in the buildup to the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ho ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nam Ho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brown takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ho connects with a single shot there.
Brown is rocked!
Brown shoots and misses
and Ho counters with a right hand from hell and Brown is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nam Ho !
After the fight, Nam Ho was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
