Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Chester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fighter One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Chester! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fighter One! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chester displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. A head kick misses from Chester. Chester keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from One. Chester is looking for a counter combo. Chester misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
One fails with the takedown. Chester lands with a hook. One tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. One dives in and grabs Chester's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chester pushes down on One's head and hops out. Chester clinches up against the cage. One with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Chester breaks from the clinch.
No joy there for Chester, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
One tries for a takedown but Chester sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Steve Chester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fighter One. A slapping leg kick lands for Chester.

No luck for Chester with that takedown attempt. Chester is breathing heavily. Chester connects with a high kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! One tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chester sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten One somewhat. One shoots in but Chester avoids the takedown attempt easily. Chester feinted there with a counter leg kick. Chester throws a leg kick that misses. Chester tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Chester sprawls well initially but One persists and gets the takedown into half guard. One missing with the ground and pound from half guard. One stands up out of the half guard. Chester shoots in but One avoids the takedown attempt easily. Chester attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. One fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. One wants to clinch. Chester swats away the attempt to clinch by One. Chester misses with a leg kick and One counters with a good low kick that Chester was not able to check. Chester is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that One can do to turn this around? Chester fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. One won't allow Chester to pass to mount. Chester is thwarting One's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chester working One over with strikes. Chester is trying to control the action in half guard but One is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. One wants to get back to his feet.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. One is not content to let Chester control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Chester throws a jab when One was well out of range. One was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. One dives in for a single leg takedown but Chester sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Chester appears to be looking for a big counter. Chester keeps the fight on the outside.

Steve Chester is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Chester scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Fighter One has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. One pulls out of a head kick attempt.
