The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez is looking to score with low kicks.
Hernandez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hernandez moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
Hernandez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hernandez.
Hernandez scores with a three punch combo!
Gracie scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hernandez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gracie stops Hernandez from getting back to his feet.
Gracie wants to free his trapped foot but Hernandez is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hernandez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gracie looking to sit in guard and control but Hernandez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hernandez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but Hernandez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage.

Gracie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hernandez has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hernandez wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
Hernandez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gracie uses his free foot to push down on Hernandez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hernandez.
Gracie tries to control but Hernandez wriggling away.

Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Hernandez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie.

Gracie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Hernandez wants to hold on but Gracie pushes him away.
Gracie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hernandez is surviving well by controlling Gracie's body position as best he can.

Gracie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hernandez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hernandez!

Hernandez wants to get up but he can't break Gracie's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hernandez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gracie blocks a low kick nicely.
Hernandez misses with a double jab.
Gracie tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hernandez moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hernandez throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Hernandez has had enough of the clinch but Gracie keeps him there for the moment.
Hernandez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gracie gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Gracie tries to pull guard but Hernandez holds him up against the cage and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.
Gracie tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gracie has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hernandez regains guard immediately.
Gracie is pushing down on Hernandez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hernandez is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hernandez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gracie passes into side control, despite Hernandez's attempt to control the position.

Hernandez is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.
Hernandez is breathing heavily.
Gracie advances to full mount.
Gracie prevents Hernandez from getting the reversal.
Gracie is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Hernandez is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Hernandez flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gracie anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Hernandez and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gracie slips an arm under Hernandez chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gracie has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gracie is squeezing on Hernandez like an anaconda would it's prey. Hernandez fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
