Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cumpadi Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sub Zero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cumpadi Washington! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washington throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zero's waist but Zero gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Washington off to one side. Zero wants to clinch. A swing and a miss from Zero. Washington should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Washington walks into a jab. Zero closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zero lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Washington has his foot on Zero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zero works his way back into a safe position though. Zero drops back looking for a leg! Washington is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Washington manages to kick Zero off! Zero jumps back into Washington's guard. Zero passes Washington's left leg - he's now in half guard. Zero is looking to advance position but Washington won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zero not landing any meaningful shots this time. Zero is tying to control. Washington wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Zero is really struggling to control Washington but he's trying to hold on to the position. Washington looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zero content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Washington actively working from the bottom here. Nice strikes from Zero there. Washington actively working from the bottom here. Washington looks gassed!
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Zero closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Zero is taking a breather. Washington says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Washington is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Zero pulls his head out easily. Zero wants to work for an arm triangle but Washington is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zero trying to control from half guard but Washington is working away. Zero seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Washington is defending against the submission attempts here by Zero.
Washington is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Zero jumps into side control! You can see the frustration on Washington's face as Zero controls the position. Zero seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Washington for as long as he can get away with.

Zero is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Washington's shoulder. That is not cool. Washington tries to get back to half guard but can't. Zero lands a few punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Washington is looking for a sweep. Zero is trying to get an arm triangle but Washington is defending well. Zero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Washington takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Zero working the head and body with strikes. Washington being controlled for a moment. Zero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Washington tries to improve position but can't. Zero cracks Washington with a big right hand but Washington just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Zero scores with punches from side control. Zero is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Washington is trying to escape and Zero transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Washington is forced to tap! Nice work there by Zero! Very nice indeed!
