Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Guevara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Sherk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guevara comes to the cage accompanied by Bella Ciao. Matt Sherk will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ernesto Guevara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Sherk! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guevara tries to clinch up but Sherk circles away and keeps his distance. Guevara looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Guevara trying to control the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guevara passes the guard and advances to mount! Guevara prevents Sherk from getting the reversal. Guevara looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Sherk is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Sherk is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sherk tries to lock up and control but Guevara gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sherk tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sherk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Guevara looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Sherk tries to get back to half guard but can't. Guevara with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Guevara goes for an armbar but Sherk turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Sherk. Guevara is breathing heavily. Sherk advances position into side control! Guevara tries to improve position but can't. Sherk tries to advance to mount but can't. Guevara wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Sherk lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherk lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Sherk working the body and head with strikes. Sherk looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sherk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guevara is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Guevara tries to buck Sherk off but Sherk is having none of it. Sherk working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Guevara dodges the ground and pound from Sherk.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Guevara sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Sherk trying to control from half guard but Guevara is working away. Guevara is defending against the submission attempts here by Sherk.
Guevara looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Guevara is doing well to control the position and prevent Sherk from advancing to side control. Sherk is tying to control. Guevara wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ernesto Guevara will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Sherk doesn't succeed with the takedown and Guevara counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sherk's guard now. Sherk is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Guevara passes easily into side control. Nice work. Guevara is chipping away with strikes.
Guevara tries to score with some ground and pound. Sherk controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Guevara is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sherk will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Guevara tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Guevara has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sherk is trying to control Guevara's posture but Guevara avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherk tries to improve position but can't. Sherk is not content to let Guevara control the position. Guevara stands up. Guevara circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sherk closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sherk working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Guevara manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sherk's best efforts. Sherk not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Guevara makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guevara. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guevara controls Sherk momentarily but Sherk frees himself. Sherk advances position into side control! Guevara is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guevara is working hard here to advance position. Sherk in side control lands a decent elbow. Sherk is putting a hurting on Guevara here, landing some big shots from side control. Sherk trying to control the action but Guevara is working from the bottom. Sherk decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sherk tries to clinch but Guevara is having none of it. Sherk misses with a series of wild punches.
Guevara tries to clinch up but Sherk circles away and keeps his distance. Sherk circles away from the clinch attempt and Sherk counters into the clinch. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ernesto Guevara dominated that second round. That's time! Guevara's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Sherk misses with a takedown attempt and Guevara decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sherk's guard. Sherk looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sherk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ernesto Guevara overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sherk thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Guevara lands a couple of decent looking shots. Guevara pushes down on Sherk's leg and manages to get into half guard. Guevara lands strikes from half guard. Sherk is trying to stand back up but Guevara is controlling him
Sherk wants to control but Guevara is keeping busy.
Guevara takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guevara looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sherk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Guevara postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Sherk to stand up. Guevara forces Sherk back against the cage and clinches. Guevara has Sherk pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sherk manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Sherk pulls guard effortlessly. Sherk trying to control the position.
Sherk is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Sherk looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sherk doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sherk tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sherk working for a triangle but Guevara defends it easily.
Guevara thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Guevara with a lazy takedown attempt and Sherk counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Guevara is lucky that one didn't land flush. Sherk doesn't succeed with the takedown and Guevara counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sherk's guard now. Guevara stopping the sweep attempt from Sherk. Sherk working for a triangle but Guevara defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sherk tries to land a sweep but no joy. Sherk keeping full guard, as Guevara tries to pass. Sherk manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Guevara bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sherk has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Guevara has passed into side control.
Matt Sherk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sherk gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Guevara is trying to control the action in half guard but Sherk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sherk works his way to full guard. Good work. Sherk looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Guevara puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Sherk striking from the bottom. Guevara is thwarting Sherk's attempts to control the position. Guevara is pressing down on Sherk's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sherk is holding on for now. Ernesto Guevara is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sherk flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Ernesto Guevara showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Guevara, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
