Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lake Bare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ellie Cunningham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lake Bare could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ellie Cunningham's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lake Bare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ellie Cunningham! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cunningham shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Bare pushes Cunningham off but Cunningham dives into side control.
Bare is trying to get back to half guard. Bare trying to remain calm as Cunningham controls from the top position. Cunningham tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cunningham has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bare is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Bare is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Bare knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cunningham on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cunningham working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bare is trying to stand.
Cunningham wants to get back to his feet.
Bare has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cunningham is working away from the top position though. Cunningham decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Cunningham gets a double leg takedown into Bare's guard. Bare wants to get back to his feet but Cunningham passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cunningham winds up and cracks Bare with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Cunningham is controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cunningham content to control rather than advance. Cunningham lands with a punch from half guard. Cunningham has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Cunningham drops an elbow to the side of Bare's head. Cunningham is nestled in close to Bare, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Cunningham winds up and cracks Bare with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Bare pushes Cunningham off looking to stand but Cunningham dives back in and keeps control.
Cunningham looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. It looks like Cunningham might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cunningham wants to stand up but Bare has a hold of him and won't allow it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cunningham working the head and body with strikes. Cunningham is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ellie Cunningham dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bare fails with the takedown and Cunningham counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Cunningham misses with a body kick. Bare looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cunningham wants to counter with a clinch but Bare pushes him away. Cunningham scores with a takedown into Bare's guard. Bare wants to get back to his feet but Cunningham passes into half guard.
Bare wants to get back to full guard. Cunningham should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cunningham seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cunningham trying to control the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cunningham prevents Bare from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cunningham has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Bare works to full guard. Cunningham sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cunningham is continuing to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cunningham content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cunningham has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bare is proving hard to escape from. Cunningham sitting in guard here, content to control. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cunningham's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Cunningham controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Cunningham bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bare looks to move to half guard but instead Cunningham has passed into mount! Damn! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cunningham dominating with strikes here. Cunningham looking to control and managing it successfully. Bare is in a horrible position here. Cunningham smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cunningham controlling from mount. Cunningham wants to stand but Bare is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cunningham raining down hammerfists from mount. Cunningham controlling from mount. Cunningham scoring with strikes but Bare is staying in there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ellie Cunningham showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Bare tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cunningham sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bare somewhat. Bare shoots in for a double leg but Cunningham sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Cunningham throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bare tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cunningham is in Bare's guard. Bare is wriggling around but Cunningham manages to pass to half guard.
Cunningham seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Bare is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
