Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spanky McFaddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cain kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Don't talk to stranger- Hedley. Spanky McFaddy is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Cain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Spanky McFaddy! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McFaddy has a takedown stuffed. McFaddy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cain pinned against the cage. Cain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McFaddy tries to clinch up but Cain circles away and keeps his distance. McFaddy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McFaddy showed some decent athleticism there. McFaddy keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. McFaddy wants to advance to full mount but Cain doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. McFaddy postures up.
Cain controlling the position. McFaddy sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cain is pulling down on McFaddy's head to control his posture. Cain has his feet on McFaddy's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McFaddy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. McFaddy looking to control.
Cain controlling from the top position. Cain trying to control but McFaddy is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McFaddy wants to sweep but no luck. McFaddy looks gassed! McFaddy keeping moving, preventing Cain from controlling successfully. McFaddy is looking to stand up but Cain isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cain seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. McFaddy keeping moving, preventing Cain from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cain gets a takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Cain dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
McFaddy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Cain is looking for a sweep. McFaddy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Cain is looking for a sweep. McFaddy is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McFaddy working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McFaddy laying and praying for a moment but Cain takes advantage and regains half guard. Cain works his way to full guard. Good work. Cain not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McFaddy slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Cain is trying to control the position but McFaddy postures up. Spanky McFaddy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Cain looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for McFaddy! McFaddy is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Matt Cain just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. McFaddy with a poor takedown and Cain counters with a shoot takedown. McFaddy fights it but they end up in guard. McFaddy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McFaddy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. McFaddy pulls Cain in close to prevent any damage. Cain wants to control from the top but McFaddy keeps moving. Cain sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cain trying to control the position from guard on top but McFaddy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McFaddy trying to keep a closed guard but Cain is proving a slippery customer.
Cain wants to control from the top but McFaddy keeps moving. Cain is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McFaddy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cain sitting in guard here, content to control. Cain has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Matt Cain just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Cain tries for a takedown but McFaddy circles away easily and McFaddy counters with a nice double leg into guard. McFaddy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cain keeping moving, preventing McFaddy from controlling successfully. Cain is adopting a defensive guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Cain showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
