Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Chartier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chartier has chosen Disturbed - Stricken as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mikhail Kalashnikov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donald Chartier! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalashnikov fails with the takedown. Kalashnikov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chartier as he jumps to the side. Kalashnikov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Chartier counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikhail Kalashnikov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chartier stuffs the takedown. Kalashnikov goes for a double leg but Chartier avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Chartier continues to drive forward. Chartier throws out a counter right but Kalashnikov avoids it with no problem. Kalashnikov throws a jab but it's blocked by Chartier. It seemed like Chartier was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kalashnikov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Chartier. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kalashnikov defending well as Chartier loads up on a big left hand. Chartier misses with a looping right. Kalashnikov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Kalashnikov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kalashnikov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalashnikov misses with the ground and pound. Chartier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kalashnikov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kalashnikov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Chartier has escaped the position, nice work there. Kalashnikov goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Chartier rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kalashnikov's guard! Nice work there by Chartier! Kalashnikov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chartier can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kalashnikov has his foot on Chartier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chartier works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Chartier rolls with it to try and escape but Kalashnikov cranks on the arm and Chartier is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
