Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fred Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koulouraki Souvlaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons comes to the cage accompanied by Dog Wild Heaven. Souvlaki has chosen Greek Anthem as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Souvlaki enables Simmons to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Souvlaki manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Souvlaki lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Simmons had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Souvlaki defends it easily.

Souvlaki got a little sloppy there for a moment and Simmons has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Souvlaki has managed to get both his arms back between Simmons's legs - danger averted.
