Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Blue Cup and Bjj Steel. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Bjj Steel enters the cage!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Blue Cup! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Bjj Steel!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and George Francis.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Cup throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Steel was covering up waiting for the punch and Cup finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Cup tries to free his leg and advance position but Steel is retaining full guard.

Steel is defending against the submission attempts here by Cup.

Cup is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Steel defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cup is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Steel reverses the position - he's now on top in Cup's guard.

Steel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cup has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Steel has managed to get both his arms back between Cup's legs - danger averted.

Steel might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cup haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Steel controls Cup momentarily but Cup frees himself.
Cup sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Steel's guard.

Cup seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Steel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cup has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Cup's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Steel defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cup goes for an armbar but Steel turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Steel.

Cup is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Steel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Steel's back!
