Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tomas Marley and Eli Armis. Armis has chosen Mortal Kombat Theme as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eli Armis was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Marley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Armis's guard. Marley is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Convicted Fight Club, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Armis looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Marley can't escape the position.
Armis moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Marley has worked his arm free - good work by Marley!
Armis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marley keeps working.

Marley has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Further stalling from Marley.

Armis has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Armis is really stuck here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Armis wants to control his opponent's hands but Marley gets his hands free.

Armis looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Marley has picked Armis up and slammed him! Armis can't keep hold of the triangle and Marley manages to pass to side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Marley (15) vs (5) Armis Armis wants to control but Marley postures up. Marley content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Marley is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Armis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Armis tries to improve position but can't. Marley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Armis keeps working. Marley is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Armis tries to bench press Marley off him but Marley keeps the position. Marley tries to advance to mount but can't. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Who's going to make the next move?
