Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Will Rock and Osvaldo Martinez. Rock comes to the cage accompanied by I Wanna Rock. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Will Rock! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Osvaldo Martinez!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Rock gets tackled into the cage by Martinez. Martinez maintains the clinch.
Rock tries to pull guard but Martinez holds him up against the cage and eventually Rock drops back down to his feet.
Rock tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Martinez smiles and moves away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Rock drags the fight down to the ground.
Martinez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Martinez wants to control from the top but Rock keeps moving.
Rock looking for a sweep. Not yet Rock, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martinez trying to control the position from guard on top but Rock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Martinez is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Rock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martinez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Martinez defends well.

Martinez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rock's guard.

Martinez is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Rock still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Rock has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Rock goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Martinez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rock but great work by Martinez.

Martinez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Martinez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Martinez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Martinez is looking to take a break and control but Rock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rock is looking to regain half guard here but Martinez keeps moving and retains side control.
Rock sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martinez frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Martinez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rock is looking to escape.

Rock really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Martinez working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Rock turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Martinez off and cradles Rock's limp body as Martinez celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Osvaldo Martinez!
A less than humble Osvaldo Martinez misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
