The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidd on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Tison moves in looking to clinch but Kidd pushes him off.
Kidd shoots in but no luck this time.
Kidd tries for a takedown but Tison circles away easily
and Tison counters with a nice right hand that sends Kidd toppling to the canvas! Kidd scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Tison finish him?!
It looks like Calvin Kidd has been cut.
Tison tries to clinch up but Kidd circles away and keeps his distance.
Kidd attempts a counter takedown but Tison avoids it well and moves away.

Malik Tison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kidd bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tison's guard.
Tison wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Kidd is now in half guard.
Tison is trying to escape back to his feet but Kidd uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Kidd has control of an arm but Tison manages to advance to Kidd's back!

Tison is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Tison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kidd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kidd is taking a breather. Tison says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Kidd working over Tison with some ground and pound. Tison looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Kidd passes into side control, despite Tison's attempt to control the position.

Kidd is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tison knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Tison tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kidd presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Kidd takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kidd seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tison for as long as he can get away with.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tison scores with a hook to the body. Kidd takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Oh Kidd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tison jabs at Kidd's body.
Tison connects with a stiff jab that staggers Kidd - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
