Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gary Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Lane Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Kang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joey Lane Jr! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lane Jr misses with a few strikes there.
Lane Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Kang sprawls well. He's pushed Lane Jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lane Jr drives through with a takedown into guard. Kang wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Lane Jr manages to pass to side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lane Jr is working for a kimura but Kang is defending it quite comfortably.
Lane Jr thows a huge punch but Kang dodges it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kang is trying to maintain the position but Lane Jr is very close to passing his half guard. Lane Jr is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kang is trying to control but can't.
Lane Jr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kang's head. Kang is trying to get back to full guard. Lane Jr controlling the action here. Lane Jr passes to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kang tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lane Jr wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lane Jr working away. Check out the look on Lane Jr's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kang is looking to regain half guard here but Lane Jr keeps moving and retains side control. Lane Jr in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Sloppy strikes there by Lane Jr. Lane Jr is working to tighten his grip on Kang's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kang has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lane Jr is really squeezing tight and eventually Kang passes out! Lane Jr breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Joey Lane Jr!
