Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tomas Pacheco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomas Pacheco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Alpha! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacheco moves into the clinch successfully.
Pacheco wants to take the fight to the mat but Alpha manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Pacheco stalling.
Pacheco connects with a nasty looking knee right to Alpha's face.
Pacheco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Alpha smiles and moves away.
Alpha stuffs the takedown attempt from Pacheco. Pacheco gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomas Pacheco. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pacheco shoots in looking for a takedown. Alpha tries to sprawl out of it but Pacheco keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alpha manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A jab lands there for Alpha.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alpha misses with a hook
and Pacheco makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Pacheco misses with a takedown attempt - Alpha sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Alpha takes a swing at Pacheco's ribcage but misses. Pacheco tries for a takedown but Alpha circles away easily and Alpha counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Pacheco gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Alpha tries to break the clinch but Pacheco is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alpha is leaning against Pacheco and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Pacheco is working for takedown but Alpha is calmly controlling the position for now. Pacheco is breathing heavily. Alpha is pressed up against the cage. Pacheco has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alpha down to the mat. Alpha avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Alpha swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pacheco. Pacheco really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fighters circle momentarily. Alpha darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Alpha instigates a clinch. Pacheco is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Pacheco trying to control the position but instead, Alpha has worked for underhooks and has pushed Pacheco into the cage. Alpha manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Alpha is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Alpha is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alpha is looking to stand up but Pacheco isn't so interested in that idea. Pacheco controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Alpha working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pacheco.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pacheco tries to clinch up. Alpha throws out a counter right but Pacheco avoids it with no problem. Alpha clinches with his opponent.
Alpha breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Alpha lands with a straight right. Pacheco didn't see that one coming. Pacheco takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Alpha dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Alpha with a hook. Alpha lands with a good body shot. Alpha pushes Pacheco up against the cage in a clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Pacheco jumps guard but Alpha turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Alpha blocks a body shot from Pacheco. Alpha has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Alpha working hard to break the clinch. Pacheco just leaning against Alpha, taking a breather. Alpha avoiding damage as Pacheco throws knees to the body.

Pacheco doesn't succeed with the takedown and Alpha counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Alpha.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pacheco's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Alpha throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pacheco stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Pacheco shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pacheco stops Alpha from getting back to his feet.
Alpha tries to get to full guard but Pacheco has control of the leg. Alpha kicks Pacheco off and gets back to his feet. No joy there for Alpha, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pacheco shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alpha as he avoids it easily. Despite the aggression on Alpha's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomas Pacheco. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alpha uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alpha dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Alpha throws a leg kick but Pacheco sees it coming and moves out of range. Alpha wants to clinch up but Pacheco keeps it at a distance. Pacheco tries to clinch but fails miserably and Alpha counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pacheco is rocked! Alpha cracks Pacheco with a hook to the temple - Pacheco is on wobbly legs here! Alpha swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Pacheco falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Alpha wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Johnny Alpha!
