Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Khalil Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ethan Grey!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grey is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Grey circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva tries for a takedown but Grey sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Grey.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grey's waist but Grey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Grey wants to counter with a clinch but Silva pushes him away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khalil Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Grey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Silva thinks about countering with a head kick.
Grey shoots in but no luck this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva blocks a head kick by Grey.

Grey is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Grey down to the mat. Grey avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Silva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Grey circles away.
Grey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Silva wants to clinch.
Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grey, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva throws an elbow that misses.
Grey has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Grey tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Grey drops back down to his feet.
Grey avoiding damage.
Grey wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Silva managing to block the knees to the body from Grey.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva darts in looking for a takedown but Grey gets double underhooks and turns Silva into the cage.
Silva shoots in but Grey avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Silva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Silva controls the position.
Grey is not content to let Silva control the position.
Grey pushes Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grey tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grey to the ground. Grey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Grey swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Grey dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Grey's head and hops out.
Silva has Grey up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva breaks the clinch.
Grey takes the fight into the clinch.
Silva jumps guard and drags Grey to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Silva working for submissions but it's allowed Grey to get to half guard.

Grey is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Grey postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Silva to stand up.
Silva rushes Grey and presses him up against the cage.

Grey is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Silva to keep the fight standing.

It looked like Silva was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

That was a close second round but I would say that Khalil Silva will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to Ethan Grey.
