Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rancho Wildslap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wildslap comes to the cage accompanied by Get Schwifty. Velasquez has chosen El Camino as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rancho Wildslap! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fabricio Velasquez! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wildslap shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Velasquez sprawls well. Velasquez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wildslap gets slowly back to his feet. Wildslap misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Velasquez lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Velasquez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Wildslap doesn't seem bothered though. Velasquez scores with a hook to the body. Wildslap takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasquez throws a hook but Wildslap blocks it. Wildslap avoids the body shot from Velasquez.
Wildslap drops down looking for a counter takedown but Velasquez sprawls and moves away. Velasquez throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wildslap counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasquez wants to control but Wildslap postures up. Velasquez is looking for a sweep. Velasquez wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Velasquez is trying to control Wildslap's posture but Wildslap avoids it. Wildslap goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Velasquez rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Wildslap's guard! Nice work there by Velasquez! Wildslap is looking for a triangle but Velasquez pushes his legs off easily.
Velasquez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Wildslap has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Velasquez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Velasquez stands and throws Wildslap's legs to the side, diving into side control. My spies in Russian Bears Training Center inform me that Velasquez has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wildslap manages to work his way to half guard, despite Velasquez's best efforts. Wildslap gets full guard. Wildslap looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wildslap looking to hit a scissor sweep but Velasquez is one step ahead there. Wildslap looking for a guillotine here but Velasquez defends easily.
Velasquez wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Wildslap's closed guard. He's half up but Wildslap has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Wildslap pivots and extends the arm, Velasquez falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Wildslap! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rancho Wildslap! After winning the bout, Rancho Wildslap thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. In defeat, Fabricio Velasquez stepped up to the mic, saying 'My camp trained hard, but the better fighter won on the day. I won't let it keep me down. I'll be back, training, at the first chance I get.'.
