Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Practice Built!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Huang decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Built manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Huang keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
We've been hearing reports that Built has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Built is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Built's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Huang decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Built on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Built tries to get out of the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Huang is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Built defends it well.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Huang in particular looking to stall.
Built knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Huang on the ground.
Built is in trouble now - Huang has advanced to mount!

Huang has hold of Built's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Built manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Huang is looking to work his way around to Built's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Huang scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Built?
Huang sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Huang is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Built has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Huang working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Built looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Huang! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Kevin Huang!
In his post fight interview, Kevin Huang started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
