Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Guifre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alcano's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Three Stars & A Sun. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Alcano!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marc Guifre!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guifre shoots in and drives through. Alcano sprawls well.
Guifre throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alcano's waist but Alcano gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Guifre off to one side.
Alcano lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Guifre sprawling to the canvas. Alcano follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Guifre hang on?
It looks like Marc Guifre has been cut.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Alcano is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Guifre moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Alcano stands up from Guifre's guard - Alcano perhaps looking for a knockout.
A slapping body kick lands there for Alcano.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alcano misses the shot to the body.
Guifre darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Guifre wants to pass to mount but Alcano is defending the position.

Guifre is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Alcano defends it well.

Alcano is trying to stand up here but Guifre is controlling him well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Guifre is trying to work for a kimura but Alcano is defending well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Guifre shoots for a takedown but Alcano saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Guifre closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Guifre is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Guifre is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Alcano is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Guifre is looking for a kimura but Alcano is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Guifre to get the leverage.
Alcano won't allow Guifre to pass to mount.
Alcano wants to control but Guifre is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Guifre tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Alcano has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Alcano prevents Guifre from getting the reversal.
Alcano postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Guifre looks a forlorn figure.
Guifre is desperately trying to improve his position but Alcano has a good base and remains in mount.
Alcano wants to get back to his feet but Guifre is holding on tight.
Guifre is in all sorts of trouble here.

Guifre is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Alcano stands up from mount. Strange move.
A big left from Alcano misses.
Jose Alcano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Alcano throws a push kick but Guifre slaps the foot to one side.
Alcano looks to land a right hand but Guifre moved out of range.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A jab from Alcano misses.
Alcano is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Guifre changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alcano looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Guifre goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Alcano has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Guifre but great work by Alcano.
Alcano decides to stand back up. Alcano steps back and let's Guifre get back to his feet.
Guifre shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Guifre showed some decent athleticism there.
Guifre wants to work for an arm triangle but Alcano is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Guifre has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Alcano.
Alcano tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Guifre moves out of range of the body kick from Alcano.
Alcano gets caught flat footed, as Guifre shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guifre stops Alcano from standing up.
Guifre wants to pass the guard but Alcano is keeping the position.
Guifre has gone for a leg lock! Alcano slips out almost immediately though and dives into Guifre's guard.

Guifre pushes a forearm under Alcano's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Alcano is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
