Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Paul Kruger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Verner Stolt! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruger is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Stolt looks to throw a body kick and Kruger counters with a straight right hand. Stolt blocks a jab. Stolt keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kruger thows a leg kick but Stolt checks it and Stolt counters with a left to the body. Kruger fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Kruger misses with a shot to the body and Stolt counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kruger fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stolt manages to avoid it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Stolt! But no joy. Stolt lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Kruger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stolt, pushing him back against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kruger with a knee to the head.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Kruger. A short left from Kruger. Stolt lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Stolt working Kruger over with knees to the body. Kruger lands a right hand that snaps the head of Stolt backwards. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Stolt. Stolt blocking some punches.
A right hook to the body lands for Kruger.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kruger gets through Stolt's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kruger misses with the head strike.

Kruger tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Stolt's elbow. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Kruger lands an uppercut. Kruger lands with a left to the head.
Stolt is rocked! Kruger scores with a shoulder strike. Stolt is still on wobbly legs! Can Kruger finish him? Kruger misses with a hook from the clinch. Kruger lands a nice knee to the body. Stolt misses with a knee strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Stolt using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kruger has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kruger misses with a hook from the clinch. Kruger swings wildly with an uppercut but Stolt uses good head movement to avoid it. Kruger unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Stolt! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Kruger is unloading with more strikes now! Stolt drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Kruger! A very excited looking Paul Kruger rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
