PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucio Francisco Carmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Ware (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carmo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rolling Stones - Paint it, Black. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ware fails to land with a series of punches.
Ware tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carmo was well out of range. Poor timing from Ware.
Carmo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ware looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Carmo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ware.

Ware fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carmo manages to avoid it.
Donk. Ware catches Carmo right on the button with a cross.
Ware jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Carmo tries to counter with a takedown but Ware is quick to defend against it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marcus Ware seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ware. Carmo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Carmo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Carmo tries to move into range but Ware moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Ware dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Carmo shoots in looking for a takedown. Ware tries to sprawl out of it but Carmo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ware manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Carmo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ware because Carmo loaded up on that one.

Ware really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carmo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Carmo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Carmo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ware has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ware tries to buck Carmo off but he can't manage it.
Ware looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ware changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ware lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Carmo falls backwards - clearly groggy! Ware dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Ware!
