Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ian Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludko Struja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by AC/DC. Struja has chosen HIJACK - THE BADMAN IS ROBBIN as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Ludko Struja! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Struja closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Struja lands in his opponent's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Smith pulls Struja in to control the position. Struja throws a big elbow that misses. Smith keeping full guard, as Struja tries to pass. Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet. Smith keeping moving, preventing Struja from controlling successfully. Struja is looking to work some ground and pound but Smith has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Struja postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Struja wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving. Smith has his hands on Struja's head, controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Struja. Smith keeping moving, preventing Struja from controlling successfully. Smith is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Struja working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Struja's guard. Struja tries to land a sweep but no joy. Struja has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Struja avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Smith lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Struja wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment. Struja is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Smith advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Smith trying to control from half guard but Struja is working away. Struja moves into full guard.
Smith distracts Struja with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Struja is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smith chips away with some ground and pound. Smith with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ian Smith dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Smith misses with a hook. Struja changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Struja manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smith scoring well with a low kick there.
Smith connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Smith lands with a hook. Struja tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Struja changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Struja has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smith finds it's way round the side to connect with Struja's head. Smith turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Struja lands a head shot. Struja bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Struja looks like he wants to counter punch here. Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Struja is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Smith presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Struja wants to stall.
Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Struja's elbow. Smith works on Struja's body with a couple of short punches. Struja has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Smith regains guard immediately.
That's one minute gone in the round. Struja is fighting to break Smith's control of his arms but Smith is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Struja is breathing heavily. Smith wants to sweep here but Struja controlling him for the moment. Smith is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Struja can do to turn this around? Smith seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Struja passes easily into side control. Nice work. Smith is trying to improve his position. Struja goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Smith rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Struja's guard! Nice work there by Smith!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith throws a big right hand that misses. Smith wants to control from the top but Struja keeps moving. Smith throws an elbow that misses. Struja uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Smith's guard. Nice move by Struja! Smith has his hands on Struja's head, controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.
Smith missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Struja works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Smith throws a big elbow that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Smith preventing the sweep. Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Struja is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Struja is trying to keep Smith in close.
Smith scoring with punches to the head and body. Smith in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Struja looking for a guillotine here but Smith defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith lands a couple of digs. Smith cracks Struja with a solid left hand. Smith working some strikes from top position.
Struja is rocked! Smith trying to control but Struja is working from the bottom. Struja looking to control.
Smith chips away with some ground and pound. Struja is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him? Smith loads up on a big left hand. Struja felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Smith looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Struja can't hide his disappointment, as Smith celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ian Smith! Ian Smith was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
