Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Valerio Patron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tragic Visions (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tragic Visions has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Valerio Patron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tragic Visions! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patron shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Patron shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Visions's guard. Patron looking to pass the guard. Patron showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Patron seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Visions for as long as he can get away with. Patron stopping the sweep attempt from Visions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Visions has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Patron can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Visions is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patron engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Patron is looking to advance position but Visions has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Visions looking to ground and pound but Patron is blocking nicely. Visions trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Patron tries to reverse the position but Visions maintains control. Visions wants to control the pace but Patron is squirming around nicely. The fighters are battling for position here. Patron manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Patron looking for a sweep. Not yet Patron, not yet. Visions trying to control the position from guard on top but Patron is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Patron looking to hit a scissor sweep but Visions is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Visions in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Patron drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Visions wants to get back to his feet but Patron passes into half guard.
Patron is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Visions is trying desperately to improve position. Visions is still trying to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Valerio Patron will probably get the nod. That's time! Patron's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Visions lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Valerio Patron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Visions works the jab nicely. Patron shoots for a takedown but Visions saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Visions looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Patron is fending him off so far but Visions persists. Nope, Patron circles away and we're back to standing. Patron is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Visions's half guard. Visions is looking to escape. Patron sitting and controlling from the half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Visions is defending against the submission attempts here by Patron.

That's one minute gone in the round. Visions gets full guard. Visions controls Patron momentarily but Patron frees himself. Patron seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Patron has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Valerio Patron overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Patron throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Visions tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Patron is in Visions's guard. Patron showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Visions throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Patron escapes and throws Visions's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Patron tries to advance to mount but Visions denies him. Patron is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Visions's shoulder. That is not cool. Patron wants to lay and pray for a moment but Visions keeps working. Visions tries to bench press Patron off him but Patron keeps the position. Patron tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Patron tries for a kimura but Visions is defending well. Patron remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Patron tries to advance to mount but can't. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Visions is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Patron asserts his dominance and retains side control. Patron remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Valerio Patron dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Patron is defended easily by Visions. Patron shoots in looking for a takedown. Visions tries to sprawl out of it but Patron keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Visions manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Patron fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Valerio Patron. That's going to take a lot out of him. Visions tries to sprawl but Patron drives through with a takedown into half guard. Visions is trying to stand back up but Patron is controlling him

Patron fails with the takedown. Patron looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Patron fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Visions sprawls well initially but Patron persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Visions is looking for a sweep. Patron is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Valerio Patron. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Patron, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
