Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cade Voce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JoseLandis Pele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Voce tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pele smiles and moves away.
Voce shoots for a double leg takedown but Pele sprawls well. He's pushed Voce's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Voce looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pele is fending him off so far but Voce persists. Nope, Pele circles away and we're back to standing.

Voce looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pele has picked Voce up and slammed him! Voce can't keep hold of the triangle and Pele manages to pass to side control!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Voce tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Pele presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pele postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Voce looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
