Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Kordell Bailey Sr. and John Gites. Chooooooooon! I think Bailey Sr. might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Damian Marley - Road To Zion. Gites has chosen Eminem - Above The Law as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Kordell Bailey Sr.! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 8 losses; John Gites! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Gites tries to keep at a distance but Bailey Sr. has taken the fight into the clinch. Bailey Sr. stops a takedown attempt from Gites.
Bailey Sr. pulls guard. Gites preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gites is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bailey Sr. is looking for a triangle but Gites pushes his legs off easily.
Bailey Sr. is trying to control the position but Gites postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gites seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Gites passes easily into side control. Nice work. That's one minute gone in the round. Bailey Sr. is not content to let Gites control the position. Bailey Sr. struggling a bit here. Bailey Sr. is trying to improve his position. Gites taking a breather here. My spies in FIERCE inform me that Gites has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Gites trying to control the action but Bailey Sr. is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bailey Sr. struggling a bit here. Bailey Sr. definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Bailey Sr. tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gites wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gites is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bailey Sr. has escaped the position, nice work there. Gites wants to control but Bailey Sr. is keeping him busy. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gites is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bailey Sr. is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bailey Sr. is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gites rolls with it to try and escape but Bailey Sr. cranks on the arm and Gites is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
