Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiri Milo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spencer Quinn has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Spencer Quinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jiri Milo!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Milo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quinn makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Quinn.

Quinn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Milo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Quinn looking for a guillotine here but Milo defends easily.
Milo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quinn lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Quinn wants to control from the top but Milo keeps moving.
Quinn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Milo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Quinn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Milo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Milo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quinn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Quinn is fighting to break Milo's control of his arms but Milo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Quinn wants to control from the top but Milo keeps moving.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Quinn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Milo manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Milo manages to pull guard.
Quinn in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Milo has control of Quinn's left arm, preventing Quinn from doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Milo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Quinn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Quinn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Quinn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Quinn wants to control from the top but Milo keeps moving.
Milo has Quinn pulled in close to control his posture.
Quinn trying to control but Milo is working from the bottom.
Milo lands an upkick as Quinn stands over him.
Quinn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Milo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Milo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Milo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Quinn sprawls well initially but Milo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Milo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Milo is controlling the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Quinn is trying to maintain the position but Milo is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jiri Milo dominated that round.
That's time! Quinn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Quinn wants to clinch up but Milo keeps it at a distance.
Quinn tries to clinch there but Milo circles away.
Milo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Milo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Quinn to the mat! Quinn manages to get full guard.
Milo stays in close to Quinn's body and controls the position.
Milo connects with a couple of short punches.
Milo distracts Quinn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Milo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quinn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Milo is continuing to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Milo works over Quinn with some ground and pound from guard.
Quinn controls Milo momentarily but Milo frees himself.
Milo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Quinn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Milo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Milo looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Jiri Milo has got the better of the ground game so far.
Milo lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Milo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Quinn looking to control.
Milo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Milo gets a powerful takedown and that's hurt Quinn.

Quinn throws Milo to one side and escapes!

Milo dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Quinn has had enough and taps out.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jiri Milo!
