Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Morin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Van Den Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danny Van Den Berg is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Morin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Danny Van Den Berg! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Den Berg shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Van Den Berg is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Morin manages to get to full guard. Morin has control of Van Den Berg's left arm, preventing Van Den Berg from doing any damage. Van Den Berg wants to get up but he can't break Morin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Van Den Berg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Van Den Berg just misses with a elbow thrown towards Morin's brow. A frustrated look appears on Van Den Berg's face as he tries to break the clinch. Van Den Berg seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. Morin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Van Den Berg walks away with a smile on his face. Morin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Morin clinches. Morin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Van Den Berg is defending well. Morin goes for a takedown attempt but Van Den Berg pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Morin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Morin gets control of Van Den Berg's arms and successfully pulls guard. Morin will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Morin pulls Van Den Berg in to control the position. Morin working a defensive guard here.
