Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alen Zalac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ury Dikunov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alen Zalac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ury Dikunov! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zalac scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Ury Dikunov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dikunov shoots in for a double leg but Zalac sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dikunov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zalac. Zalac lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dikunov circles away quickly and effectively. Dikunov fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dikunov moves into the clinch. Dikunov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Zalac can't fight it off and eventually Dikunov manages to take the fight to the floor. Zalac looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dikunov with a flurry of punches that miss. Dikunov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Dikunov controls from within his opponent's guard. Dikunov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dikunov scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dikunov stopping the sweep attempt from Zalac. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dikunov working some strikes from top position. Zalac trying to control the position.
Zalac can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dikunov controls the pace. Dikunov throws a big elbow that misses. Zalac working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dikunov. Dikunov connects with a couple of short punches. Dikunov landing some decent shots from guard. Dikunov chips away with some ground and pound.

Dikunov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Dikunov controlling from the top position. Zalac has momentary wrist control but Dikunov slips an elbow through the middle. Dikunov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Zalac throws a shot to the body.
Dikunov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zalac. Excellent takedown into side control there by Dikunov. Dikunov grinds an elbow into Zalac's temple. Zalac takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Zalac is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Zalac takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dikunov landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Dikunov taking a breather here. Zalac is looking for a sweep. Dikunov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Zalac some visible discomfort.

Zalac is breathing heavily. Zalac is being controlled here. Dikunov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Zalac down.

Zalac lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Zalac is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dikunov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Dikunov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zalac on his heels. He'll look to pass Zalac's guard now, I'm sure. Dikunov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Dikunov connects with a couple of short punches. Dikunov is working Zalac over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Zalac is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dikunov is controlling him. Dikunov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dikunov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dikunov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zalac's guard. Dikunov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Dikunov is nestled in close to Zalac, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Dikunov drops an elbow to the side of Zalac's head. Dikunov working the head and body with strikes. Dikunov working over Zalac with some ground and pound. Zalac looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dikunov lands a nice short elbow. Ground and pound from Dikunov. Dikunov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Zalac on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dikunov trying to control the pace. Let's hope that Dikunov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Dikunov is continuing to stall. Ground and pound from Dikunov. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dikunov connects with a nice short shot to Zalac's temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dikunov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Dikunov is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Dikunov is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dikunov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Dikunov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Dikunov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dikunov drops an elbow to the side of Zalac's head. Zalac trying to control but Dikunov postures up.
Dikunov passes to full mount! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dikunov lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Dikunov dominating with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ury Dikunov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Zalac gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dikunov to score an easy takedown into full guard. Dikunov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zalac swivels though and keeps the full guard. Zalac is trying to keep Dikunov in close.
Dikunov scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Dikunov works over Zalac with some ground and pound from guard. Oh Zalac is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Dikunov stands up over Zalac, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Dikunov lands a couple of elbows. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dikunov scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dikunov stands up over Zalac, holding on to his feet. Dikunov throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Zalac is out cold! Dikunov lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ury Dikunov! Ury Dikunov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
